Update on Canyon Creek Trails

Susan is the spokesperson for Friends of Canyon Creek and the following information was presented.

This area is the last undeveloped creek in the city of Redding.

That there is no vision to preserve the sides or the bottom of the canyon and that there are no plans for trails on the top.

At this time there is a plan for a 13 acre park and a five acre natural park.

Discussion included creating a trail plan that would follow the creek.

The Fox Wood Estates

Discussion included consideration for a trial that would connect the West Side Trail.

Other discussion points:

That city planning is light years ahead of county planning.

The county is planning a bicycle lane from 299 to Highway 44.
